Airbrush Make Up

In this type of makeup technique, the products are applied through an airbrush applicator which sprays the product on your skin in a nice, even finish. Of course, you’d need an expert for this type of makeup application, otherwise, the results will be just the opposite. Airbrush gives a porcelain effect to your makeup and looks pretty flawless on brides. However, it’s important to consult a make makeup artist before your event to decide which type of application is better. Airbrush creates a light blanket of coverage and tends to set and dry the skin in the process. So if your skin is on the drier side, an airbrush may not be ideal since it tends to accentuate dry and flaky skin.

Pros: of using airbrush makeup:

  • Last up to 12 hours
  • Waterproof (if silicone based)
  • Flawless coverage
  • Use less product and can be easily layered if necessary
  • Photo ready especially with High pixelated shots
  • A perfect option for oily skin since it creates a protective barrier and lasts longer than traditional makeup

Cons:

  • Not suitable for dry skin
  • Skin needs to be prepped, primed, and hydrated before application
  • It’s hard to re-blend
  • If facial hair is present it may emphasize peach fuzz
  • Hard to cover scars and active breakouts
